GERTRUE CALVERT
Gertrue Calvert, 88, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Sunset Nursing Home in Maysville, MO. A visitation will be held 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 14, at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 15 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. The family suggests contributions be given to the Sunset Nursing Home. Gertrue was born August 20, 1927 in Weston to Gilbert Heiman and Edrene Irene (Cook) Matthews. She married Paul Calvert on November 30, 1946 in Leavenworth, KS; and lived in the Weston and Rushville, MO areas, until moving to Maysville in 1982. Gertrue worked in earlier years as a nurse, and later as a beautician. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weston, the Weston Garden Club, and enjoyed sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Paul. Gertrue is survived by: her son Paul (Laurie) Calvert of Plattsburg, MO; 3 daughters Debbie Crockett of Smithville, MO, Beckie (Richard) Boyle of Liberty, MO, and Penny Linley of Brandon, MS; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandson.
