June Eleanor Graham, 93, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Primrose Care Facility in Kansas City, MO. A private family graveside service will take place at the Platte City Cemetery in Platte City, MO. The family suggests contributions be given to the American Cancer Society. June was born August 21, 1923 in Tonganoxie, KS to Jesse D. and Maude (Atkinson) Cannon. She worked as a teller for the Farley State Bank; and in earlier years, as a switchboard operator. June was of the Christian Faith. She married Leo Harding Graham on August 23, 1942 in Phillipsburg, KS. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many crafts, including: sewing, woodcarving, and painting. She formerly served as Democratic Chairman of Platte County, and recently was Chairman of the Cancer Society Sewing Circle at Primrose. June was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Eldon Cannon, and her husband. She is survived by: her son Joe Michael (Judy) Graham of Hamilton, IL; her daughter Judy Ann (Tim) Weeks of Kansas City, MO; her sister Bonnie Burns of Albequerque, NM; 6 grandchildren Mandy (Andy) Bell, Jessica (Scott) Lee, Katherine (Tom) Horton, Trent (Carla) Graham, Brett (Whitney) Graham, and Abigail Graham; and 5 great grandchildren.
