Robert H. Lindsey, 73, of Dearborn, MO, passed away at his residence on July 7, 2015. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rollins Funeral Home, in Platte City. Visitation will be from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home, Burial is at the Platte City Cemetery following services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hillsboro Christian Church, P.O. Box 2568 Platte City, MO 64079, or The VFW post of Platte City. Robert was born on July 29, 1941 to Howard Edwin Lindsey and Beryl Irene Benthusen. Robert graduated from Park Hill High School in 1959. He married Carolyn Kay Simpson on August 21, 1959 in San Diego CA. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine corp. He served fourteen months in Viet Nam and continued serving his country for 10 years. Over the 10 years the couple were stationed in many states and for the last nine years have resided in Dearborn, MO. Robert worked as a salesman for Lefebure Banking Company and owned and operated the I-3 Company. He was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, a lifelong member of the VFW. He enjoyed woodworking and made cabinets and later in life he made wooden pens, and he loved to Barbeque. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; his sons Ron Lindsey (Wendy) of Mechanicsville, VA, Robert Noel Lindsey (Beth) of Mechanicsville, VA, daughter Rene’ White (Tom) of Oviedo, FL, brother Mel Lindsey (Marsha) of Pittsburg, KS, three grandsons Cameron, Aaron & Mitchell Lindsey, and a granddaughter Emerson Lindsey.
