Maureen Parrett (Sweet)
Maureen Nicole (Sweet) Parrett, age 36 of Platte City, MO went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on May 27, 2018. Maureen was loved by everyone who met her. She lit up every room with her smile and will be deeply missed by all. Maureen was born in Kansas City, MO to Harold and Karen Sweet on November 12, 1981. She attended Platte County R-3 School, graduating in 2000. Maureen married Sean David Parrett on December 15, 2007. She enjoyed working as a lunch monitor at Platte County Middle School and The Children’s Place in Zona Rosa where she was loved by all her co-workers. Maureen grew up attending St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, and was baptized along with her husband at The Rock of K.C. She enjoyed being a cheerleading coach and board member for the Platte County Youth Cheerleading Club, and loved spending time with her children, doing crafts and other activities. She left behind her husband Sean, her three precious children Skylor (18), Madysen (9), and Gavin (7), her mother Karen Sweet, two brothers Ron (Jamie Hubbard) Campbell and Todd (Traci Pratt) Campbell a sister Kelly Sweet of Platte City, Mo, two sons she considers her own Pedro Garcia and Chance Jones, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Maureen joins her dad Harold Sweet and sister Veronica Campbell in heaven. A celebration of life will be held Monday, June 4 at 6:00 pm at the Platte City United Methodist Church. The family suggests contributions be given to Maureen’s family.
