Obituary for Brian Allen Fannon

Brian Allen Fannon, 51, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at his home in Weston. A visitation will be held 5:00 – 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, at the funeral home. A private family inurnment of the cremains will be held in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Weston, at a later time. The family suggests contributions be given to: ASPCA, at: aspca.org, or to the animal shelter of your choice. Brian was born September 9, 1962 in Stanberry, MO to Robert Lee Fannon and Judith Ann (Harkrider) . He was a 1980 graduate of the Central High School of St. Joseph. Brian married his soul mate, LeAnna Kay Large on September 9, 1989 at the Christian Assembly Church of Weston; and has lived in Weston since. Brian was of the Baptist Faith. He worked as a technician for the Weston Water Plant. Brian was a multi-talented artist. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing in his own rock band, performing throughout the area. He also was talented at drawing, and painting; having drawn comics for both Missouri Western University, and the St. Joseph Newspress. Brian also had a passion for the outdoors, being a Native American artifact collector, and animal lover. Brian was preceded in death by: his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a brother Robert Lee Fannon, II. He is survived by: his Father Robert L. (Jerri) Fannon of Conception Junction, MO; his mother Judith Ann (Fred) Wood of Plattsburg, MO; his wife LeAnna; and son Logan, of the home; his brother Todd S. Fannon; and his sister Tricia A. Fannon of Conception Junction; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Brian was also survived by his wife’s grandmother, Rosa Faudere; his parent in laws, Jim and Sharon Large; and brother in law Robert (Karen) Large, who all loved him dearly.
