Emma Margaret Frey, 93, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at her home in Weston, MO. A visitation will be held 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2014 at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Weston. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. The family suggests contributions be given to the First Baptist Church of Weston, or the Boy Scout Troop 249. Emma Margaret was born January 28, 1921 on the family farm in Weston to Thomas Jefferson and Martha Robinson (Sams) Beach. She was a lifelong resident of Weston and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Weston. Emma Margaret was a 1938 graduate of the Weston High School; afterwards earning her teaching degree from Central Missouri Teacher’s College. Emma Margaret married Raymond Donald Frey on October 9, 1947 in Kansas City, MO. In addition to her career as a teacher, she actively served on the West Platte R-II School Board; and in later years was a substitute teacher. Emma Margaret actively served many roles in her community, and was a gifted quilter and member of the Sew & Sew Club of Weston. She was also a homemaker who took great pride in her three sons, particularly in their accomplishments of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Emma Margaret was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Raymond; and her sisters Lucille Beach and Alma Jean Snook. She is survived by: her sons Dr. Donald (Leticia) Frey, of Gretna, NE, David (Linda) Frey of Peculiar, MO, and Rick Frey of Weston; her brother Thomas Jefferson “T.J.” Beach of Weston; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
