Obituary for William A. "Billy" Kirkpatrick

William “Billy” A. Kirkpatrick Jr., 51, of Platte City, MO passed away in an automobile accident Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Following cremation, a visitation will be held 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston, MO; followed by a 4:00 p.m. memorial service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be given to the B.O.K. Ride. Billy was born May 27, 1965 in North Kansas City, MO to William Arthur Kirkpatrick Sr. and Theresa Virginia (Amos). He was of the Catholic Faith, and lived most of his life in the Atchison, KS, Weston, MO, and Platte City, MO area. Billy loved woodworking, spending most of his working life as a high-end trim carpenter and member of the Local 1904 Union of K.C., MO, and Local 315 Carpenter’s Union. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, taking part in various charity rides, and was known by all of his friends as someone who enjoyed life to its fullest. Billy was preceded in death by: his mother; a son Brandon; a brother Everett Conley; and 2 sisters Kathy Hawkins, and Carol Ratcliff. He is survived by: his father; his wife Debbie of the home; 2 sons David Underwood of Highland, KS, and Michael Kirkpatrick of K.C., MO; 3 daughters Natasha Andrews of St. Joseph, MO, Danielle Kirkpatrick of Gladstone, MO, and Kaylin Guy of Thornville, OH; 3 brothers Bobby and David Bunch of Joplin, MO, and Randall Goodin of Platte City, MO; 1 sister Kristie Hawkins of Leavenworth, KS; 9 grandchildren; and numerous other family members whom Billy considered brothers and sisters.
