Ellen Taulbee, 70, passed away on May 31, 2017, at the North Kansas City Hospital after a battle with cancer. Ellen was born April 4, 1947 in Atchison, KS to Raymond and Winifred (Chapin) Taulbee. She lived her entire life in Weston, and enjoyed working for the Platte County Board of Services for over 24 years. She was proceeded in death by her father; son Darrin Thomas Clemens; brother Kenneth Ray Taulbee; and sister-in-law Ann Taulbee. Ellen is survived by her mother; son Kevin (Katy) Clemens, Weston, MO; grandchildren Kody Clemens and Tanya (Abijah) Holdsworth; great-grandchildren Olen and Oliver Holdsworth; brother Tom (Beth) Taulbee, Platte City, MO; nephews Brad Taulbee, Nick Taulbee, and Kenneth Taulbee, Jr.; niece Taryn Taulbee; and many great-nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 7 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be given to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
