Ida C. Yuille, 85, formerly of Platte City, MO, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Sunrise of Leawood Assisted Living in Leawood, KS. A visitation will be held 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 21 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City; followed by a 1:00 p.m. graveside service at the Platte City Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be given to the charity of one’s choice. Ida was born February 10, 1931 in Platte County, MO to Thomas Grundy and Edna (Haynie) Cockrill. She married Earl W. Yuille on June 10, 1950 in Platte City; and lived in Platte City, Kansas City, and finally Leawood, KS, in her later years. Ida was of the Christian Faith, and attended the Church of the Resurrection. She spent her working life as an elementary school teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Earl. Ida is survived by: her daughter Jane (Darrell) Kidd of Leawood; her son Jay (Kim) Yuille of Overland Park, KS; her sister in law Margaret Cockrill; her niece Janet Terpening; her nephews David and Tom Cockrill of CA; and 3 grandchildren Travis (Chassadee) Yuille, Cathryn Yuille, and Maggie Yuille.
