Obituary for Trever Allen Sluder

Trever Allen Sluder was a loving son, brother, and a man who fought for so many people to bring them love, laughter and encouragement when they needed it the most. On April 13th, 2020, Trever was on his way to work when he was struck and killed by an oncoming impaired driver. Trever was only 22 years old when he passed away but even though his time here with us was short his life was a tribute of a man that would have laid his life down for his family and friends. He believed that quitting was never an option. He believed that it’s not over when you lose but when you quit.

Trever was born January 8th, 1998 in North Kansas City hospital to Melinda and William Sluder. He grew up in Platte City, Missouri where he attended and graduated from Platte County High School. Trever took pride in being a part of the DrumLine on the Platte County High School Band. He had two siblings Trinity and Trent Sluder and he loved his family very much. He loved Jesus and was able to love people just like his savior. He worked at FedEx as a package handler and was an excellent employee. Trever loved Anime very much to the point where it would inspire all of his ideals he lived by. All of the Anime that he watched always taught him to love others, never give up, and fight for what is right.

As tragic as this death is Trever will be remembered as a hero for the 4 lives that he saved by donating his organs. Although we will never understand why our beloved son and brother was taken from us so soon it gives us great comfort to know that he is with Jesus and fighting on the frontline of God's army now.
