Ricky Lee Foster, 66, of Platte City, MO, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at his home. Ricky was born on March 28, 1954 in Bethany, MO to Jack and Thelma (Taylor) Foster. He graduated from Winnetonka High School in Kansas City, MO in 1972, before joining Millwrights Local Union 1529 in Kansas City, MO. He was dedicated to his career and his passion for hot rods and racing. Ricky retired in 2007 after 30 plus years, and was a proud grandfather, spending time with his three grandchildren whenever he could. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Larry Foster; and nephews Billy Jack Foster and Charles Douglas King. Ricky is survived by his children Jack Tristen (Erin Katherine Swafford) Foster and Shasta Lynn (Jarod Michael) McKee, both of Kansas City, MO; their mother Susan Lynn Foster; grandchildren Cash Foster McKee, Jaxson Foster McKee, and Avery Ella Foster; siblings Sue (Charles) King and Judy (Michael) Ashcraft; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of your choice.
