Betty May Peterson (Cosbohn), 98, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Primrose Retirement Community in Kansas City, MO. Betty was born in Tiffany Springs, MO on February 3, 1923 to Marshall and May Etta (Peterson) Cosbohn. She was a graduate of the Platte City High School, and enjoyed playing basketball. Betty married Guy Enoch Peterson on May 19, 1943 in Tallahassee, Florida. She worked as a bookkeeper at Park Hill High School for over 20 years. Betty was a member of the Ferrelview Christian Church. She enjoyed travelling with a group of her friends, which called themselves “The Committee”. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 brothers Bill and George Cosbohn; and her daughter in law Joyce Peterson. She is survived by her son Bob Peterson of Oak Grove, MO; her grandsons Robb Peterson and wife Sheila of North Carolina and Chad Peterson of Iowa; great granddaughter Anna Peterson; and her sisters Wanda Stubbs and husband Donald of Hamilton, MO and Mary Oliver of Albuquerque, NM. A visitation will be held 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City, MO; followed by a 2:30 p.m. graveside service at the Second Creek Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
