Kathleen Suzanne Nash, 66, of Platte City, MO, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Kathy was born December 29, 1954 in Camden, NJ to Robert Paul and Kathleen (VanBrookhoven) Romp. After the family moved to Missouri, she graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1973. Kathy married Steven D. Nash in Platte City, MO on December 12, 2012. She worked in the accounting department at Bunzl in Riverside, MO for 19 years before her retirement. She had a big heart, and loved crafting and animals, especially her beloved dog, Charlie. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother James Romp. Kathy is survived by her husband; daughter Jennifer Mitchel of Platte City, MO; brother John (Lila) Romp of Excelsior Springs, MO; sister Elaine Romp of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Maranatha and Manny Santos; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. As per her wishes, an informal memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 1-3 pm at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City, MO. Memorial contributions can be given to a charity of your choice.
