Muriel Jean (Oliver) Reiley, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital. Muriel was born August 7, 1931, in Platte City, MO to Walter Banning and Annie Rogers (Murdock) Oliver. She was a 1949 graduate of the Weston High School. Muriel married Karl Schoeller Reiley on May 3, 1951, in Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Karl Schoeller Reiley; son Gary Reiley; brothers Harold and Kenneth Oliver; sister Carolyn Zeit; grandson Scott Simpson; and daughter in law Tressa Reiley. Muriel is survived by her children Karl O. Reiley of K.C., MO, Michael R. (Marilyn) Reiley of K.C., MO, Patricia A. Simpson of Stover, MO, and Karen M. (Roy) True of K.C., MO; grandchildren Christopher, Daphnie, Jason, Travis, Jena, Jillian, Leslie, Tyler, and Clayton; siblings Martha Griffin of Atchison, KS, James (Catherine) Oliver of Basehor, KS, Mary “Judy” (Howard) Smith of Cummings, KS; sister in law Mary Oliver of Robinson, TX; and numerous extended family and friends. A visitation will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City, MO; followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service, at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Weston, MO at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to the Greater KC Firefighters Alumni Association.
