Patricia Jo Twitchel, 59, of Platte City, MO, passed away Friday, May 5, 2022, at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Patty was born April 30, 1963, in Libertyville, Illinois to Eunice June Bieze. She was raised in the Dearborn, MO area, where she attended the Dearborn High School. Patty started at the U.S. Postal Service in 1988 as a carrier in Weston, MO, later transferring as a clerk to the Midwest caves in Kansas City, where she retired in 2020 after 32 years. She married Brian Scott Twitchel on November 28, 2008, at their home in Kansas City, MO. She also lived in Liberty, MO before moving to her most recent home in the Platte City (Hoover) area. Patty was of the Christian Faith. She loved her country home, where she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening; and taking her dog “Boo” for walks in the woods. She also loved spending time with her granddaughter Mina. Patty was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her husband Brian; her daughter Jennifer; her granddaughter Mina; 7 siblings Susan, Kathy, David, Robin, Don, Gail, and Laurie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions can be given to the Lymphoma Research Foundation at Lymphona.org. A visitation will be held 8:00 a.m.- 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston; followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral service. Interment will follow at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
