Rosa M. Faudere, 96, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Aspire Senior Living in Platte City, MO. Rosa was born August 1, 1926, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to Roy Edgar and Gertie Bell (Perkins) Henderson. She married Marvin Hughes Faudere on February 1, 1946, in Atchison, KS. Rosa worked as a cook in local restaurants; but was especially proud of being a homemaker. Her greatest pride was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Rosa was a member of the Christian Assembly Church of Weston. She enjoyed gardening around the house; and was a collector of bells and poetry. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin; brothers Larry W. Henderson, and James L. Henderson; sisters Margaret F. Moore, Armilda R. Amusden, and Roberta Taloff. She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Jim) Large, Patty Oylear, and Sandy L. (John) Dowd; her grandchildren LeAnna, Rob, Kelli, Laura, and Sarah; great grandchildren Logan, Joshua, Caleb, Kenisen, Conlan, Alyssa, Lily, and Ben; and 1 great, great granddaughter Rosie. A visitation will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2022; followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. Contributions can be given to 3 Rivers Hospice or Aspire Senior Living.
