Betty Jean Pullen, 89, formerly of Weston, MO, passed away Saturday November 5, 2022, at her son’s home in Edgerton, MO. Betty was born July 22, 1933, in Keytesville, MO to Charles Hugh and Neta Mae (Raney) Cox. She was raised in the Iatan, MO area, and was a lifelong resident of the Weston area. Betty married her first husband Walter “Bill” William Bosch, and to this union raised 4 children. Betty married her second husband Walter Ray Pullen on January 11, 2001, at the Camden Point, MO Christian Church. Betty was the daughter of a tobacco sharecropper and helped the family raise the annual tobacco crops; and she became very skilled at setting plants. She was of the Christian faith and attended the Iatan Church of the Nazarene in her early years. Betty was an excellent cook, known for her fried chicken. She loved shopping and most especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Wm. “Bill” Bosch; her second husband, Ray Pullen; and 3 brothers, Bill, Bobby, and Lester Cox. Betty is survived by her 4 children Becky (Rob) Kay, Jim (Lorri) Bosch, Carl (Evelyn) Bosch, and Beverly (Greg) Brownell; 3 stepchildren, Jeff (Lorraine) Pullen, Nancy (Mike) Schelp, and Kathy (Brad) Hutchison; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. A visitation will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston; followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. Memorial contributions can be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Children’s Mercy Hospital.
