Obituary for Jason William ""Cletus"" Wright

Jason “Cletus” William Wright passed away on March 17th, 2023. Born December 13th, 1971 to Edward and Diana Joyce Wright. Jason was a lifelong resident of Weston. He loved the town, the people, and the friends he made throughout his life. He attended West Platte High School where he was involved in many clubs and activities and was a talented athlete in multiple sports. Jason briefly attended Northwest Missouri State University, and found that his true talents lay in working with his hands. As a tradesman and craftsman, Jason took pride in his meticulous work in carpentry and finishing the detail in homes. He was an excellent mechanic and could fix anything with an engine on it. Jason could usually be found hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. He loved his animals and couldn't turn away any that showed up at his doorstep. He enjoyed singing, dancing, and having a good time. He was proud of his cooking skills and often shared his favorite dishes with friends and neighbors. Jason had a big laugh, a great smile, was always kind and the definition of ornery. Jason is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Wright and Diana Joyce Wright. He leaves his brother, Jimmy Wright; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Jerod Rigdon; his aunt, Teresa Wright; his uncles, Ronnie Wright; Maurice Craig; Philip Craig his nieces and nephews, Abbey, Brady, Kole, Bryleigh and Thane, and his extended family members both near and far. He was loved, and will be missed by his many friends. Graveside Services Friday, March 31 11:00 at Mount Bethel. Memorial contributions can be made to Weston Educational Foundation.
