Obituary for Marian Frances Risker (Trumble)

Marian Frances Risker, 90, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Wexford Place care facility in Kansas City, MO. She was born November 1, 1932 in Tracy, MO to William Edgar and Martha Frances (Dennie) Trumble. Marian was a 1950 graduate of the Platte County R-III High School in Platte City. She married Arthur Rudolph Risker on July 21, 1950, in Weston, MO. Marian worked for the Platte County Courthouse, and the Chicago Title Company in Platte City; later working at Fort Leavenworth, and as a bank manager for Liberty Savings. She loved refinishing antique furniture, and operated the Wagon Seat Antiques shop in Platte City. Marian was a licensed real estate broker, and along with her husband, operated Risker Real Estate in Tracy. She was a member of the Tracy Baptist Church. Marian was a talented singer, drummer, and pianist who, along with her sister, recorded and copyrighted several songs in the 50’s. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son Loren Ray Risker; 4 brothers; and 5 sisters. Marian is survived by her daughter Marian Gayle (Lawrence) Hayes; her son Stephen (Jane) Risker; and 9 grandchildren.
