Stephen Carley Anderson, 33, known to most as Carl, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Although his death was due to tragedy, Carl knew his hope was in Jesus and desired to serve the Lord for as many days as he was granted. He was from St. Joseph, Missouri. Carl was survived by his wife Taylor and his four children: James, Janelle, Lillian and Everest; his parents: Jonathan and Rachel Anderson; in laws: Brent and Judy Smotherman; his siblings: Annie Tegg (Jon), Janelle Derr (Greg), Wes Smotherman (Cari), Brice Smotherman (Jessie) and Addie Smotherman; 6 Nieces and 4 Nephews and many more extended family who all loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held at Vaughn Funeral Home—18905 ST RT 45 N—Weston, MO. Family visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 5 – 7 p.m. and Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 2, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. Pastor Tommy Weaver will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be given to the Christian Assembly Church of Weston.
