Nicole (Tosie) Hill of St. Louis, MO

I grew up two houses down from the Dannemans. Nate and Jake were several years older, so while we didn't play together growing up, I do have a very distinct memory of their kindness. In the summers, my friends and I would often set up snowcone stands around the neighborhood. One day, the Danneman twins were out working in their driveway and noticed our little operation. Although we were selling snowcones for $.50 apiece, they came over and gave us $20 for a couple of snowcones. Needless to say, it made our day. That these teenagers would be so kind to us kids left a permanent impression. We were so excited, we promised them snowcones for life. To this day, whenever I see kids operating their own little stand, I try to pay that kindness forward. I'm so sorry to hear of Nate's passing. Though I didn't know him well, what I did know of him was kind. I hope that your memories of him bring you some comfort in the coming days.
